Friends plead for Arab peace

THE Friends of Palestine group in Bradford on Avon has pleaded for peace in Gaza and the West Bank. The group has urged both Israel and the Hamas group in Palestine to call a ceasefire and hold peace talks. (WMC) - Now that MLGW has issued a boil water advisory people are out looking for bottled water. WMC Action News 5 Janice Broach checked around the city at various businesses that sell bottled water. Many of the businesses if not all of them are out of plain bottled water. WMC did find flavored water but there’s not very much of it. “Very frustrating cause I done been to 3 stores. This is the third store. I can barely get bread. We’re looking for milk but we’re trying to find water. It’s hard to keep boiled water. There’s six of us in the house,” said Leslie Bell.

Family quiz in Bradford on Avon helps buy tablets for Palestine children

Members of the Bradford on Avon Friends of Palestine group held a virtual quiz to raise more than £700 to help buy digital tablets for schoolchildren in the city of Tubas in the West Bank, adding to £1,500 donated previously. Spokesman Judith Hammond said: “The majority of children in Palestine share a problem with disadvantaged children here in England, needing laptops or tablets in order to continue classes online during lockdown, but have no access to such resources. “The town of Bradford on Avon has a friendship link with Tubas and the group was already fundraising to help improve sports facilities for young people in the city.
