CHESAPEAKE, Va. - A local dog has been honored for having quite the silly name.
Every year, Nationwide, the first and largest provider of pet health insurance in the U.S., recognizes the most imaginative and unique names of its four-legged members. The top 10 wackiest dog and cat names of 2020 were selected after a vote from Nationwide s pet parents.
Scarlett No Haira, a Chinese Crested dog, took home the top honor for this year. Nationwide told News 3 Scarlett is from Chesapeake.
Scarlett s owner, Kathleen Carter, is a fan of movies, so it makes sense she d name her furry friend after the protagonist of Gone With the Wind.
