A blizzard watch is posted for coastal regions including new york city and long island where up to a foot and a half of snow is possible. Part of the storm is moving in from the plains. Out who conditions plagued south dakota. In minnesota travel was treacherous. Plows had a hard team keeping up with relentless snow. Road crews are lined up and ready to go, but its not just the snow people will have to deal with. The forecast also calls for powerful wind.
