Arkansas junior Lauren Gregory finished as the top collegian in the Husky Classic 3,000m with a career best time of 8:53.76, moving her to No. 2 on the Razorback all-time list behind the 8:52.57 school record.
The No. 3 Razorbacks host a field 20 teams in the Tyson Invitational this Friday and Saturday at the Randal Tyson Track Center, which include current No. 1 Florida and No. 4 LSU along with four other schools in the top 25. Also entered are a group of professional athletes who have claimed Olympic and World Championship medals.
Arkansas won the 4x400 relay in a meet record time of 3:29.38 to cap the Razorback Invitational weekend at the Randal Tyson Track Center with Rosey Effiong supplying an anchor leg of 51.61 seconds.
No. 1 Arkansas hosts the Razorback Invitational this Friday and Saturday inside the Randal Tyson Track Center. Two other women’s teams currently ranked in the top 25 among the field of 12 teams include No. 9 LSU and No. 16 Georgia.
Razorback senior Shafiqua Maloney highlighted the Razorback women’s performance with a trio of wins at the Arkansas Invitational.. Maloney set a meet record in the 800m, improved her career best in the 400m, and anchored the 4x400 relay to a meet record.
