A CARPENTER has been handed a suspended sentence after showing no remorse for repeated attacks on his ex-partner. Anthony Ian Thomas Rouse admitted assaulting his ex-partner by beating and causing criminal damage to her property when he appeared before Hereford magistrates. Police were called to Rouse s Hereford home by his former partner, who said she had been attacked by Rouse between March 14 and 21, prosecutor Shafquat Reaz said. She told officers that Rouse had punched her in the eye and kicked her after taking drugs and drinking with a friend, and that he had smashed her mobile phone. The victim left their shared home but later returned, knocking on the door to be let in.
