Hotel staff said the man was punching at walls, shouting and swearing, throwing and slamming items in the lobby, and battered two hotel staffers, Madison police said.
The Madison Police Department released records relating to personnel matters six months after the author sued the department, which had said it would be 10 to 14 months before the records could be provided.
