However, having been shut down for the last five months, closure seemed like a possibility.
“Closing was never what we wanted, or I wanted,” Food Dance owner Julie Stanley said.
Temporarily closed since Nov. 15, Stanley had given serious thought to permanently closing the restaurant. She announced this week the farm-to-table restaurant, a staple in the community for 26 years, will reopen in mid-June.

KALAMAZOO, MI A Kalamazoo farm-to-table staple for more than 26 years, Food Dance has announced it will be reopening in mid-June.
After dealing with the ups and downs, closures and reopenings restaurants across the state were encountering, Food Dance founder and executive chef Julie Stanley said in December that the restaurant would remain closed until March until she had a pulse on how the restaurant industry looked before reopening.
Stanley said at times she did not know if the restaurant would reopen, but she never closed the door completely on the idea and refused to tip her hand either way.
