DeKALB- The minimum wage has been raised from $11 to $12 earlier this year, according to a press release posted on illinois.gov. The state is also planning to raise the minimum to $15 by 2025. Illinois hadn’t seen a wage increase since 2010 when the state boosted the minimum wage to $8.25. Chicago, however, increased.
DeKALB Students who are looking to change minors or learn about different options can look into the Black Studies minor offered by the Center for Black Studies. The minor requires students to take 18 credit hours within the required courses, with classes ranging from 200 level to 400 level. 12 hours must come from.
DeKALB- The Illinois Department of Public Health (IDPH) is pushing to make vaccines available to children from 6 months to 4 years old. According to a press release posted on the IDPH website, data submitted earlier this week from Pfizer-BioNTech asked to amend the emergency use authorization (EUA) to allow children younger than 5 years.
DeKALB – Student Government Association will host a Spring 2022 Involvement Fair from 1 to 4 p.m. Feb. 2 in the Holmes Student Center to provide students with the opportunity to find new ways to get involved on campus. Students will be able to meet members of student organizations, learn more about the different organizations.
