A broadband near-field chiral source in the microwave band enables comparison of different edge states

Recently, coding metasurfaces, incorporating active components, have enabled real-time and programmable controls over EM functionalities, which used to be static or quite limited in conventional passive counterparts.

In the daily lives of humans, the manipulation of electromagnetic waves and information has turned out to be vital. Intelligent metasurfaces have topped as smart platforms for regulating the wave–information–matter interactions in the absence of manual intervention.

Metasurfaces are artificial array structures consisting of subwavelength unit cells arranged on a specific two-dimensional surface. Dynamic, reconfigurable metasurfaces are an excellent way to manipulate electromagnetic (EM) waves flexibly.
