different issues to be fair, he was pressed on that question. something that he didn t walk in to talk about. but woven through the letters and the interviews, i should say, this focus on all of this other stuff, you know. all of the bureaucracy. you do one thing wrong, you re out, which is an interesting standard. if any of the leaders in world war ii had gone by that measure, they wouldn t have made it to help us win world war ii. what about that? what about that sort of junk stuff floating around that seems to be getting in the way? yeah, there s some of that in any service. we had a zero defects military in the 1970s post vietnam war. the senior leadership worked hard to get out of it. that s when we racially integrated the military and stood tall as one of the most racially integrated in all of america. it s not that we re perfect and
