Please let us know and whatever per whatever appropriate form we have and whether or not wouldnni arab countries follow soon. Could you get that pretty quickly . , we will try to provide a written assessment of that. If in fact enrichment of uranium spread throughout the , would you agree that that would be a very bad scenario for the National Security of the United States and israel if nations throughout the mid east turned to enriching uranium . Yes, particularly if it were for other than peaceful purposes. You think iranians are trying to hold a bomb before we get involved . Made theave not determination to go to that step. Aey have approached this from threshold capability. For the iranians the decision is a political one. They certainly have the expertise if they so chose. Would it take them if they made that decision . Them a that depends on a lot of factors and closed sessions. Gentlemen, we appreciate your testimony, your service. I joined a number of colleagues who have asked
Warhead atop one of the mys sills it has that can hit any capital in the region or any city, and i just watched a video clip the iranianen put out what they would do if they were threatened by israel and other countries, and they show iranian missiles striking not just israel, but American Allies throughout the region. Theyre very unequivocal about this. Thats, in many ways, the laos of threats. The bigger threats come in the form of providing nuclear um real las to terrorist organizations that could either attack israel or other promesh countries in the proamerican countries in the region with relative impunity. Theyre then going to have of think of themself, well, if we strike back at hezbollah, for example, will that precipitate an iranian breakout . Becomes a big part of their calculus and an immense break on latitude. But beyond that, terrorists could get access to Nuclear Capabilities, and you dont have to worry about rockets, you have to worry about nuclear odder unanimous being
Talking hunter, republican from california. You set them back a decade or 2 or three. Hi, janet. Caller good morning. I just cant understand some of these people. It seems like they are just lying. They cant to see that obama is trying to run this country and that is what he said when he got in there to start with. He would change america. I just cant believe that people can see through this man. I am just so disgusted i could go talk in our myself talk an hour myself. I think you listen better than anyone. I appreciate you. Host richard in ohio. Hi, richard. Caller hi, greta. You there . Host yeah, we are listing. Caller i think john boehner did a good job on that. Furthermore, the healthcare law , we already had a broken health. Are system from the star
Now on president obama desk. What made it dramatic . What made it dramatic, we knew it would probably pass but in the senate there are procedural hurdles requiring a 60vote threshold to move to final passage. Sometimes they can work out a deal where it just requires a majority vote but ted cruz, a republican in the senate, voiced against using that threshold, moving for 60 votes to move on the bill. That would require at least five republican senators to put their necks out on the line on a bill thats politically hurtful to them. So it was dramatic in a way that we didnt know how many and which senators on the republican side would vote to move forward with this bill. And what was most surprising to us was that minority leader Mitch Mcconnel who is in a reelection fight, facing a primary challenge, was one of those who voted to proceed with this bill. He, of course, is the leader of the republicans in the senate and john boehner, the House Speaker, earlier this week, did the same thing
