Former Supreme Court judge Ajay Manikrao Khanwilkar was sworn in as the Lokpal chairperson, filling a post vacant for nearly two years. President Droupadi Murmu administered the oath at a ceremony at Rashtrapati Bhavan. Justice Khanwilkar, 66, served on the Supreme Court from May 2016 to July 2022.
