A New York district court ruled that a woman must remove a rock with a Confederate flag painted on it from her driveway, or may find it becomes a factor in a custody battle for her mixed-race child.
Justices in an appellate division of the state’s second-highest court in Albany ruled unanimously in a 5-0 decision that a couple would retain joint custody of their child.
However, the woman has until 1 June to remove the rock or, according to the court’s ruling, it could play a role in “any future best interests analysis” regarding the child, who was born in 2014 and attends school in Dryden, east of Ithaca.

A judge warned an upstate New York mother that she is at risk of losing custody of her multiracial daughter if she does not remove a rock with a Confederate flag painted on it from her home’s driveway.
On Thursday, May 6, appellate justices in Albany ruled that parents, identified only as Christie BB and Isaiah CC, would retain joint custody of their young daughter, but with terms attached. During a fact-finding hearing, the mother testified that “she had a rock with a Confederate flag painted on it at her home” which Justice Stanley Pritzker took issue with and called out in the decision which he authored, warning that if the rock is not removed by June 1, Family Court will consider “a change in circumstances” for the child, who turns 7 this year.

That’s right. The Supreme Court of the State of New York has threated to take away a mother’s CHILD because of a rock. It’s painted with a Confederate flag.
There ain’t a thing any person can say to change the fact that this is straight up fascism. Contrary to the prevailing lib/dem/cnn view, being fascist doesn’t become UN-fascist just because it’s AGAINST fascism. Or racism. Or whatever it is that you’re virtue signaling about today.
In this case, the thin little sliver of hook they’re hanging this brutal government oppression on is that the woman’s child is “multi-racial.”
