GRANVILLE During its colorful history, the Italianate-style, 1860s Bryn Du Mansion has served dinner to presidents (Warren Harding, Calvin Coolidge, Herbert Hoover) and tea to celebrities (Lillian Gish, Katharine Cornell); hosted pianists (Ignacy Jan Paderewski, Sergei Rachmaninoff) and functioned as a breeding and training ground for show horses, not to mention polo games on the great lawn.
Fittingly, one of the works in this year’s Bryn Du Art Show is a graceful painting of polo horses and their riders, created by Columbus artist Michael Guinane. It hangs near a window that looks out onto the polo fields.
The elegant grounds and mansion certainly enhance the appeal of the 17th annual edition of the eclectic art show.
