TYLER, Texas The half-brother of a 6-year-old child who died after being found unresponsive in the bathtub of a Tyler motel room has been arrested for manslaughter.
Police took the 12-year-old into custody on Thursday. He was booked into the Juvenile Attention Center in Tyler.
The 6-year-old was found in the bathtub of a room at the Town House Motel, located at 2420 E. Gentry Pkwy. around 5 p.m. on April 15.
From there, the child was taken to a Tyler hospital before being flown to Dallas Children s Hospital.
On Tuesday, the child was removed from life support and died shortly after. His body stayed in Dallas for autopsy.
Jefferson City police take three people into custody after traffic stop

JEFFERSON CITY, Mo. (KMIZ)
Jefferson City police took three people into custody on Saturday after a traffic stop around 5:17 a.m.
During the traffic stop, officers recovered a stolen firearm. They also found a second weapon and are working to determine if it was also stolen.
Police stopped the vehicle for suspicious activiy.
The driver could not identify the owner of the vehicle and was not willing to tell officers why he was driving it.
The driver, Joshua Davis, 21, was taken into custody for an outstanding warrant for domestic assault. He is now facing charges for unlawful possession of a firearm, violation of an order of protection and driving while suspended.
