Kabul has remained relatively peaceful since the Taliban took control of the Afghan capital four days ago, but the residents have been living in uncertainty as the new establishment is yet to formally replace the former administration.
Following the collapse of Kabul to the Taliban, a spokesman of the group stressed that there was no danger to embassies, diplomatic missions and foreign nationals in the Afghan capital, pledging that the militant group will maintain security across the country.
Taliban have reached Kabul, but have ordered their fighters to wait outside as the negotiations are underway for peaceful transition of power in Afghanistan.
With Kabul the only major city left standing, the President appears to face a stark choice between surrendering to the Taliban or a fight to hold the capital.
