CARY, N.C. – Junior forward Beata Olsson was recognized on Friday night before the College Cup semifinal as the recipient of the 2022 NCAA Division I Women’s Soccer Elite 90 award. A native of Enkoping, Sweeden, Olsson has a 3.98 GPA in Environment and Society. The Elite 90, an award founded by the NCAA, recognizes the true essence of the student-athlete by honoring the individual who has reached the pinnacle of competition at the national championship level in his or her sport, while also achieving the highest academic standard among his or her peers. The Elite 90 is presented to the student-athlete with the highest cumulative grade-point average participating at the finals site for each of the NCAA’s championships. This marks the fifth time that an FSU soccer student-athlete has received the honor from the NCAA. She becomes the first two-time winner of the award for women’s college soccer. A native of Levis, Quebec, Canada, Carle has a 4.0 GPA in Exercise Physiology. A native of Granger, Ind., Lynch graduated with a 4.0 GPA in Biology. She was named the Outstanding Senior Scholar while earning University honors and graduating Summa Cum Laude. Lynch will be pursuing a master’s degree in Exercise Physiology starting in the fall.
