Thiruvananthapuram: Well-known Malayalam poet and lyricist Anil Panachooran passed away at a private hospital here on Sunday night after suffering a heart attack, the hospital sources said.
Panachooran (55), who tested positive for COVID-19, was undergoing treatment at a hospital in Kollam district and was brought to another facility here at around 7.20 pm, they said. He passed away at 8.20 pm, the sources told PTI.

breathed
his
last
at
8.10
pm
on
Sunday,
following
a
cardiac
arrest.
Anil
Panachooran
is
survived
by
his
wife
Maya,
and
children
Maithreyi
and
Arun.
As
per
the
reports,
the
renowned
lyricist
had
visited
a
temple
with
his
friends
on
Sunday
morning
and
was
rushed
to
the
hospital
after
he
collapsed.

Poet and lyricist Anil Panachooran passed away late on Sunday at a private hospital here following health complications. He was 55.
He had collapsed earlier in the day and was admitted at private hospitals at Kayamkulam and Karunagappally before he was brought to the city. The exact reason of death is yet to be ascertained, said sources from the hospital.
