Covenant s Burrell Named Scholar All-American; Freeman, Herring Earn Honors Friday, May 21, 2021 Covenant women s soccer junior forward Kailey Burrell was named to the United Soccer Coaches Scholar All-America team, and seniors Kendyll Freeman and Grace Herring garnered Scholar All-South Region honors, announced the organization on Thursday. Burrell becomes the first Scot to earn Scholar All-America in the NCAA-era of the program. To be eligible for the award, student-athletes must have a 3.40 cumulative GPA and have started more than 50 percent of all games during the year. It is the third straight year that Covenant has placed multiple players on Scholar All-Region teams.
