May 5 Marcus Danchision helped MMI Prep beat Wyoming Seminary with his arm and bat Tuesday.
The Lehigh University-bound right-hander hurled seven-plus scoreless innings and he broke up a tense pitchers duel with an RBI single in the top of the eighth inning as the Preppers held off Wyoming Seminary 3-2 in a Wyoming Valley Conference Division 2 baseball game in Kingston.
After Danchision (13 strikeouts, one walk) and Blue Knights ace Aiden Murphy (18 strikeouts, one walk) matched zeroes through regulation play, Jimmy Kelly reached first base on a passed ball on a strikeout and Andrew Burns legged out a bunt single to put MMI runners on first and second with one out in the eighth.
