PETALING JAYA: An enhanced movement control order will be imposed at several oil palm estates in Maran, Pahang.
Senior Minister (Security) Datuk Seri Ismail Sabri Yaakob said that the enhanced MCO at Felda Jengka 1, Felda Jengka 2, Felda Jengka 7 and Felda Ulu Jempol would be implemented from March 2 to 15.
“So far, 46 cases have been recorded in these areas, he said in a statement on Monday (March 1).
He added that the enhanced MCO was imposed after risk assessment was conducted with various other agencies and upon the advice of the Health Ministry.
Ismail Sabri also said that Nabawan district in Sabah will be imposed the MCO from March 3 to 16 following 177 cases that were recorded in 15 villages in the area.

KUCHING: A total of 428 students from 32 schools in Sarawak were unable to sit for the Sijil Pelajaran Malaysia (SPM) 2020 examination which began on Monday (Feb 22), says Datuk Amar Douglas Uggah Embas.
The Deputy Chief Minister said 414 of the students could not sit for the exam due to the enforcement of the enhanced movement control order, while 14 others tested positive for Covid-19. Of the affected students, 205 are male students and 223 are female students, he said at the state disaster management committee s briefing here on Monday (Feb 22).
Earlier on Monday, state education director Dr Norisah Suhaili said 35,312 students in Sarawak were sitting for the SPM at 294 examination centres throughout the state.
