Kanya Puja, also known as Kumarika Puja, will be observed on Monday, October 23. The puja can be performed on October 22 from 06:26 am onwards, and on October 23, at any time after 06:27 am.
Durga Ashtami and Ram Navami, the eighth and ninth days of Navratri, are celebrated by honoring young girls or kanyas. Kanjak, also known as Kanya Pujan, is performed to worship these girls as manifestations of Goddess Durga. The girls are offered tender coconut, Halwa-Puri, and Chane as prasad. Kanjak is performed twice a year, on the last day of Navratri.
During Kanya Pujan, young girls are usually adorned in new clothes, offered gifts, and served a delicious meal that includes sweets, fruits, and other vegetarian dishes.
