Vijayendra Yediyurappa, the son of former Karnataka Chief Minister BS Yediyurappa, has been appointed as the president of the BJP s state unit. Vijayendra, currently a sitting MLA in the Karnataka state assembly, replaces Nalin Kumar Kateel. The announcement was made by BJP s national general secretary Arun Singh after a prolonged delay.
