Udupi: Progressive organisations stage symbolic protest against contentious farm bills

Udupi, Jan 26: Progressive organizations in Udupi staged a rally on foot expressing solidarity with the protest rally undertaken by over one lac tractors and crores of farmers in Delhi against the contentious farm bills.
The rally began from the Board High School, Udupi and concluded at Martyrs Memorial, Ajjarkad. The protesters at the rally were also heard shouting slogans against the union government.
Karnataka Dalit Sangharsha Samithi district chief convener Sundar Master demanded that the three farm acts be revoked immediately. The government at the centre is determined to implement them. People have the right to protest and as of now, we have only carried out a symbolic protest. However, stronger protests will be held if necessary,” he said.
