A lot can happen in 100 days.
Jacksonville School District 117 students hit the mark Tuesday of reaching the 100th day of classes. Those at Jacksonville High School decided to celebrate the milestone in an odd and challenging school year.
Math teacher Kathleen Beard said the staff wanted to recognize the hard work under trying conditions that students have faced as they adapted to changes because of the pandemic.
“The 100th day is usually celebrated at the elementary level, but it isn’t usually something we do at the high school,” she said. “We thought with everything going on this year, us being in person 100 days was something to celebrate.”
