New Hampshire Theatre Project's 2021-22 MainStage season concludes May 6-22 with the classic mystery drama An Inspector Calls by J. B Priestley. A young girl commits suicide and an eminently respectable upper middle class family is subject to a routine inquiry in connection with her death. An inspector calls to interrogate the family about their possible roles in her undoing. 

New Hampshire Theatre Project Presents THE UNCERTAINTY PRINCIPLE: A NEW DOCUDRAMA

In science, the Uncertainty Principle states that 'the momentum and position of a particle cannot both be precisely determined at the same time.' Using this theme as a metaphor for the ever-changing landscape of life during the Covid-19 pandemic, NHTP artists have created a new docudrama based on interviews with 28 community members between April 2020 and April 2021.

The Opioid Crisis Effect on Families: Playreading & Community Discussion on May 20

Portsmouth Herald PORTSMOUTH – On Thursday, May 20 at 7 p.m., Seacoast Mental Health Center and New Hampshire Theatre Project will present a reading of the play A Wider Circle by Mary Ellen Hedrick, and a community discussion on the topic of The Opioid Crisis Effect on Families. The zoom webinar is free, but registration is required. This program is part of New Hampshire Theatre Project’s Elephant-in-the-Room Series. Partial funding for this presentation has been provided by an Arts in Healthcare Grant from the N.H. State Council on the Arts. Immediately following the reading of A Wider Circle, facilitator Tim Barretto will lead a community discussion with the audience and panelists Rebecca Throop of Seacoast Mental Health Center, playwright Mary Ellen Hedrick and a panel of experts. Community participants can sign up to attend the webinar and participate in the discussion for free through the NHTP website at ntheatreproject.org.
