Newly designed eggs by Brooke Walters, Kathryn Newcamp and Galena Yoder will be among more than 30 hidden in downtown Lewistown as part of this yearâs Downtown Discovery Easter Egg Hunt.
LEWISTOWN The Downtown Discovery Easter Egg Hunt contest kicks off on Friday, March 19.
Kids ages 3 through 11 are challenged to find up to 32 brightly colored cardboard eggs, including three new eggs created by local artists Brooke Walters, Kathryn Newcamp and Galena Yoder.
For two weeks, these giant eggs will be “hidden” in storefronts and upper floor windows in businesses within the Downtown Lewistown area.
“We are excited to be celebrating the twentieth year of bringing the Downtown Discovery Contest to Lewistown,” event organizer Colby Guyer said. “It was originally conceived to help people discover the many businesses on Market Street and a bit beyond. As with all events, participation has ebbed and flowed over the years but it’s really nice to see our
