POTSDAM – Anyone who lives, works, or plays in Potsdam may have noticed protesters down at the post office.
Black Lives Matter (BLM) rallies were held for 172 days straight last summer and fall and there have been many more rallies since then.
For those curious to know more about what brings folks down to the rallies, come listen to a panel of local Potsdam residents talk about their experiences with BLM Potsdam.
“Black Lives Matter in Potsdam: So what are all the post office protests about, anyway?” is an online discussion led by Rev. Katrina Hebb of the First Presbyterian Church Potsdam.

POTSDAM First Presbyterian Church, Potsdam, will re-open for in person worship services beginning Sunday, May 2 at 10 a.m.
Pastor Katrina Hebb will lead worship, accompanied by music director, Dr. Keillor Kastella, on piano and organ.
All who attend must wear a mask and maintain social distancing.
A new family friendly play space for small children has been created in the rear of the sanctuary. Parents are welcome to sit nearby.
Potsdam Presbyterian is committed to peacemaking, reconciliation, and social justice, said a press release from the church. The church is a member of More Light PCUSA, working toward the full participation of LGBTQIA+ people in the life, ministry, and witness of the church and in society, the press release said.
