Woman who died in February reported as COVID Positive; 11 COVID fatalities on Thursday (06) Woman who died in February reported as COVID Positive; 11 COVID fatalities on Thursday (06) Written by Share: COLOMBO (News 1st); The Director General of Health Services confirmed Eleven (11) deaths caused by Covid-19 virus infection on Thursday (6th). The total number of deaths due to Covid-19 infection in Sri Lanka is 745. 1. The deceased is a 73 year old female resident in Inamaluwa. She was diagnosed as infected with Covid 19 while undergoing treatments in General Hospital Polonnaruwa and transferred to Special Covid Treatment Center Welikanda where she died on 05.05.2021. The cause of death is mentioned as COVID Pneumonia and renal failure.
