Nearly $100 million in capital improvement projects and grant-in-aid appropriations were included for Maui Nui in the final version of the state budget that was voted on in conference committee earlier in the week.
The Hawai‘i State Department of Education is celebrating 83 of its teachers statewide who have earned or renewed their National Board for Professional Teaching Standards Certification – a recognition for meeting the highest standards for teaching.
The Hawai‘i State Department of Education’s five public schools on Moloka‘i will be closed for students and staff on Monday, Jan. 30, due to impacts from severe weather.
The impacted schools are: Kaunakakai Elementary; Kilohana Elementary; Maunaloa Elementary; Moloka‘i Middle; and Moloka‘i High.
