GRAND FORKS, N.D. (NewsDakota.com) – Grand Forks Red River jumped out to a 27-0 lead in the first 10 minutes of the game and never looked back on the way to 64-39 win over Valley City in the quarterfinals of the Eastern Dakota Conference girls basketball tournament Tuesday night in Grand Forks. The Hi-Liners did not score until Tesa Olson hit a short jumper to the right of the lane with 7:57 to go in the first half. From that point on, the Hi-Liners out scored the second ranked Roughriders 39-37. Alex Page had nine of her game high 22 points i the first half when Red River built a 36-12 lead. Page added seven rebounds, three assists and three blocks for the Roughriders. Jade Azure had 12 points for Red River and Kaylee Lancaster had a double-double with 11 points and 10 rebounds. Hannah Litzinger had six rebounds and four assists which tied Ella Fosse for the team high.
