Ware selectman Keith Kruckas reelected

Ware selectman Keith Kruckas reelected Updated 11:45 AM; Unofficial results provided by the Ware town clerk show Kruckas with 360 votes. A total of four candidates were seeking two seats on the board. The other winner is Caitlin McCarthy, who had not previously held public office in Ware. The unofficial results show incumbent selectman Alan Whitney losing his seat by four votes to McCarthy. McCarthy received 313 votes, Whitney 309 votes, and challenger Joshua Kusnierz, 290 votes. Asked what was key to victory, Kruckas said: “people see what I’ve been doing the last three years, and doing it; there needs to be accountability.” Contacted Tuesday, Whitney said he does not plan to seek a recount.
