Delhi High Court seeks CBI, ED responses on Manish Sisodias bail pleas in Delhi excise policy scam. Hearing deferred to May 8.

The Delhi High Court dismissed a PIL seeking "extraordinary interim bail" for Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal, who is in judicial custody in connection to a money laundering case related to an alleged excise scam. The court imposed a fine of Rs 75,000 on the law student who filed the PIL, stating it was "totally misconceived" and that the court cannot grant such bail to a person holding a high office.

A division bench of Acting Chief Justice Manmohan and Justice Manmeet Pritam Singh Arora orally said that it intends to impose a cost of Rs 50,000 on former AAP minister Sandeep Kumar.
