The City of Ames Water and Pollution Control Department will be adding three new water wells to its current inventory of 22 wells to provide drinking water to Ames residents.

The Ames City Council unanimously moved to add three additions to the Fitch Family Indoor Aquatic Center. The council moved to: Add multi-purpose rooms and a walking area, which would add roughly $1.5 million to the cost of the project. Add heating to the main entry concrete, which would add $50,000 to the project’s cost....

According to previous discussions, work started in 2019 on the Locust Street box culvert over Monkey Run, but because of COVID-19 and other extenuating circumstances, the project was never fully closed out, though actual construction was completed in 2020.
