The Department of Physics is raising funds to restore Oklahoma State University’s Mendenhall Observatory, which is currently nonoperational and requires updating the telescope control system. Located just southwest of OSU’s Stillwater campus, the observatory houses the largest telescope in the state.

Dr. Daniel Sznycer, an assistant professor in Oklahoma State University’s Department of Psychology, recently published research on moral judgment in the Proceedings of the National Academy of Science. “This paper shows the first proof that dilemmas trigger a well-designed cognitive system for making tradeoffs between conflicting moral values,” Sznycer said.

The OSU Department of Communication Sciences and Disorders (CDIS) is working with the Oklahoma State Department of Health to provide free hearing tests to underserved communities across Oklahoma through the end of 2022.

In partnership with the Stillwater Public Library, Yale Public Library and the International Ocean Discovery Program (IODP), the School of Geology recently hosted “In Search of Earth’s Secrets” to showcase their wide-ranging research and its importance.
