U.S. Marshals, Sheriff s Office execute sex offender compliance operation

BOLIVAR – The Hardeman County Sheriff’s Office conducted a sex offender compliance operation, Operation Chickasaw, which was supported operationally and tactically by the United States Marshals Service and the Tennessee Bureau of Investigation last week.
During the operation, two teams of Hardeman County Sheriff’s Deputies and Deputy U.S. Marshals investigated 35 convicted sex offenders to insure they are following their requirements and found 25 in compliance with the sex offender registry law.
Seven offenders were found to be out of compliance and three are still being investigated. James Shermaine Williams was arrested for failure to register as a sex offender.
