The annual Foundation Awards for Excellence took place on Monday, April 30, at Bayou Pointe Event Center. The University bestowed emeriti status to four professors, honored seven faculty and staff with Awards of Excellence and promoted 21 faculty to full professor, associate professor or tenure.

The University bestowed emeriti status to four professors, honored seven faculty and staff with Awards of Excellence and promoted 21 faculty to full professor, associate professor or tenure.
Recent Master of Music Education graduate Daisy Case, and current Master of Music Education candidate Katie Conrad, have both been selected to present their research at the 2023 Louisiana Music Educators Association Annual Conference on November 17-20, 2023. Graduate Students from across the state were nominated to present at the 2023 LMEA Graduate Student Research Showcase, and both Case’s and Conrad’s topics were selected for presentation.
The University of Louisiana Monroe recently named the first official, committee-based round of recipients from The ULM Opportunity Fund. Seven projects were funded after a review process conducted by the Opportunity Fund Committee.
Dr. Kenna Veronee, Ph.D., was invited to join the National Advisory Board of the Desert Skies Symposium on Research in Music Learning and Teaching. Dr. Veronee first presented at the Desert Skies Symposium in 2015 as a graduate student and has been selected to present at every symposium since.
