Paducah Teen an Apparent Drowning Victim in Kentucky Lake

The death of a Paducah teen resulting from a likely drowning Sunday at Kentucky Lake remains under investigation. Officers with the Kentucky Department of Fish and Wildlife responded to the area of the old beach area at Kentucky Dam Village State Resort Park in Marshall County Sunday morning around 8:30. Witnesses at the scene told officers the teen waded into the water from the short and did not resurface. They also said he was alone. The body of the 17-year-old boy was recovered from the water around 30 minutes. The Department of Fish and Wildlife did not release the teen’s name but did say he was from Paducah.

Jones’ civil service began when former Calvert City Mayor Kean McKinney appointed him to the Calvert City Water Board. He later became a city council member, and was elected to the mayoral office in 1998.
