The Kentucky State Board on Electric Generation and Transmission Siting (Siting Board) has received an application requesting a construction certificate for a solar energy project in Madison County. A review has determined that the application is complete as filed on Dec. 11, 2020. The application, from AEUG Madison Solar, LLC (Madison Solar), proposes construction of a 100 MW photovoltaic solar array on portions of approximately 1,770 acres on a site between Richmond and Ford. The majority of the project area is currently in agricultural use. The case number for Madison Solar is 2020-00219.
