In the early hours of Thursday, a fire broke out in a coach of the Alappuzha-Kannur Executive Express train. The train was halted at the Kannur Railway station when the incident took place.
The fresh fire incident in the Alappuzha-Kannur Executive Express comes two months after a man named Sharukh Saifi was held from Ratnagiri Railway Station of Maharashtra for setting on fire a co-passenger on the same train.
The incident comes two months after three passengers, including an infant, died and nine people suffered burn injuries when a man poured petrol on them and started a fire on board the same train near Elathur in Kozhikode district.
