A Catskills businessman Daniel "Butch" Resnick, who got caught in a $1 million FBI money laundering sting and who has pled guilty to operating an unlicensed money transmitting business, has been sentenced to prison for six months.
U.S. District Judge Philip M. Halpern ordered former Sullivan County car dealer Howard Braunstein to pay $355,638 in restitution to the U.S. Small Business Administration and to forfeit $350,000 to the government, Nov. 30 in federal court, White Plains, for PPP fraud.
