Washington University in St. Louis has been chosen as one of 10 universities to participate in the Kessler Scholars National Collaborative, with the inaugural cohort of scholars being the Class of 2027.

The first-generation support and scholarship program will launch its first cohorts of students at 10 new partner institutions this fall. First-generation students make up a significant portion of the undergraduate population nationally, but they largely remain undersupported by colleges and universities.

Washington University in St. Louis has hit a major milestone in its quest to enroll more students with limited resources: 20% of the incoming Class of 2026 is Pell Grant-eligible, an increase of 15% in 10 years.
