UConn men earn AP Top 25 ranking for first time since Oct. 31, 2016

UConn is ranked once again.
For the first time since a preseason poll on Oct. 31, 2016, the UConn men’s basketball team is in the AP Top 25. The Huskies (6-1, 3-1 Big East) are ranked No. 25 this week.
The Huskies garnered 181 total points while appearing on 34 of the 64 ballots. UConn is one of three Big East teams in this week’s rankings: Villanova is No. 3 and Creighton is No. 8.
Meanwhile, UConn senior forward Tyler Polley has been named Big East Player of the Week. Polley scored 42 points off the bench in a pair of Husky road victories at Marquette and Butler. Polley shot a combined 13-for-22 from the floor, including 10-for-16 from 3-point land, in the two games.
