Chef Ralph Smith of Mine Oyster and his team of culinary specialists won big June 15 at Claw Down 2023, a lobster cooking competition hosted by Boothbay Harbor Region Chamber of Commerce (BHRCC). Smith and team won first place in the Judge’s Choice.
After closing 10 months ago, acquiring a new owner and four months of improvements, the Thistle Inn restaurant will open its doors on March 31, according to owner Jenny Chen who said diners will see the results of the efforts in the 162-year-old.
