An inquest into the death of 16-year-old Aoife Johnston, who died from meningitis at University Hospital Limerick in December 2022, has returned a verdict of medical misadventure.
Aoife’s mother hopes in time her daughter will not just be remembered as “the 16-year-old who died on the trolley”, but as someone who was much-loved by her family.
