BTS and BLACKPINK have reigned supreme again after they were announced, on Tuesday, Dec. 22, as two of the winners of the 2021 Korea First Brand Awards.
Jin, Jimin, Suga, J-Hope, V, RM and Jungkook, collectively known as BTS, received the Best Male Idol award while Jennie, Rose, Lisa and Jisoo, collectively known as BLACKPINK, were named as the Best Female Idol. Kang Daniel and MAMAMOO member Hwasa were, also, awarded as Best Male Solo Artist and Best Female Solo Artist, respectively.

Stray Kids, which is composed of Hyunjin, Bang Chan, Felix, I.N., Lee Know, Han, Changbin and Seugmin, received that Hot Male Trend award. On the other hand, (G)I-DLE, which is composed of Minnie, Jeon So Yeon, Yeh Shu Hua, Song Yuqi, Choi Mi Yeon and Seo Soo Jin, won the Hot Female Trend award.
As it celebrates its 19th anniversary, Korea First Brand Awards shared the winners of its 2021 prizes!
Each year, the Korea First Brand Awards chooses the most exciting brands for the upcoming year by conducting surveys and consulting with experts. This year, over 240,000 people took part in the ceremony’s consumer survey from November 9 to 20.

The Seoul Music Awards, established in 1990, is a major award show presented annually by Sports Seoul for outstanding achievements in South Korea s music industry.In conjunction with 30 percent mobile votes, 40 percent digital downloads and album sales, and 30 percent judges ratings, the winners are chosen from singers/idol groups etc. who have released albums throughout the year., within the period of eligibility.
The 30th Seoul Music Awards (hereafter SMA) has announced nominees!
This year, voting will be available for the Main Award, Rookie Award, Trot Award, Ballad Award, R&B/Hip Hop Award, OST Award, Popularity Award, and K-Wave Award along with the special 30th anniversary categories Legend Grand Prize and Legend Rookie Prize.
The criteria for the final winners are as follows:
Main, Rookie, Trot Ballad, R&B/Hip Hop, and OST Awards – 40% judge panel and SMA organizing committee, 30% album and song sales (according to Hanteo Chart), 30% mobile votes
Popularity Award – 100% Korean votes
K-Wave Popularity Award – 100% votes from outside of Korea
