Kenneth James Floyd, 38, who pleaded not guilty in November to negligent homicide in Flathead County District Court for the June 18 death of Kimberly Gilham, now faces additional felony counts of leaving the scene of a vehicle accident involving serious bodily injury or death and tampering with physical evidence.
Struggling with a shortage of attorneys, the Flathead County Attorney’s Office received approval last week to draw on the state Department of Justice for help prosecuting a trio of homicide cases.
The Dec. 7 decision came on 38-year-old Kenneth James Floyd’s second attempt to see his bond reduced in Flathead County District Court. Authorities have held him in the county jail with bail set at $100,000 since Oct. 18.
