Two mid-South Side eateries, Cleo’s Southern Cuisine in Bronzeville and Strugglebeard Bakery in Hyde Park, have each been awarded $15,000 as part of a grant program uplifting Black culinary artists.

Founder Quinton McNair hosted a soft opening displaying the bakery’s wide menu, loyalty program, and social media presence.
