About 11.50pm (Saturday 17 April 2021), officers attached to Sydney City Police Area Command responded to reports of a fight at a premises on Pitt Street. Police were told a man had allegedly punched and kicked another man repeatedly, before being escorted from the location by security guards. While officers were attempting to arrest the man, a number of other individuals became involved. The man, from Yagoona, then allegedly shoved a constable in the chest.

Date Time Third man charged after rental vehicles fraudulently obtained and sold – Financial Crimes Squad A third man has been charged following an investigation into the alleged fraudulent transactions of vehicles across NSW. In May 2020, detectives from the Financial Crimes Squad’s Motor Unit, with assistance from Kings Cross Police Area Command, established Strike Force Bijous to investigate the fraudulent acquisition and on-sale of rental vehicles across NSW. During the investigation, police received information that 19 vehicles, leased from five separate car rental companies in Sydney, had been sold via websites and online marketplaces. The alleged fraudulent transactions has an estimated combined value of more than $750,000.
