A lesbian couple at an Ohio high school said they never expected to be voted as prom king and queen, but that s what happened last month. Annie Wise and Riley Loudermilk, both 18, have been dating for six months. They were voted prom king and queen at Kings High School in Kings Mill, Ohio, on April 17. They told CNN that they believe this is the first time an LGBTQ couple has been crowned prom king and queen in this district.

In the Southwest District, the Cincinnati Division I meeting was a hybrid meeting. The in-person aspect was held at Fairfield High School. Milford drew the No 2. seed in the sectional behind only Lakota West. The Lady Eagles (19-3) took a first-round bye and will host either No. 21 Wilmington (5-11) or No. 26 Sycamore (2-12) on Wednesday, May 12. A win would send Milford to the district semifinal, scheduled to be played at Fairfield High School on Monday, May 17.
